Ben Robinson - Reiki Master Teacher
Based at the Devon School of Reiki’s Exeter clinic, Ben teaches Reiki and offers Reiki & Counselling sessions at the Exeter Natural Health Centre.
Ben says: 'I've been on my Reiki Journey since March 2012 when I received my Reiki I attunement at the Devon School of Reiki. It was an incredibly powerful experience and added something that I felt had been missing in my life.
As well as now being a Reiki Master Teacher, I am a trained therapeutic Counsellor with experience within the NHS in the Depression and Anxiety service. I also spent 18 months as a school Counsellor for a charity called Checkpoint in Torquay.
Before beginning my Reiki Journey I was as a hydraulic engineer, servicing, inspecting and repairing elevating work platforms as part of a very successful small family business with my dad. This came to an end when his ill health and my desire for something different in life changed things.
I also own a smallholding, which - as it becomes established - will hopefully supply me with most of my food in the near future. Grown with Permaculture principals at its core, there's a connectedness throughout the process of fertilising, planting, growing, eating and recycling. This is a place where I feel very connected to nature and can quickly and easily get 'lost'. Ever since working voluntarily on smallholdings in Australia some years ago, creating this has been a dream of mine.'
"My Reiki 1 training was amazing! I totally loved it and am excited to see where this leads me even on a personal level. I would totally recommend this training, it was a real journey of personal revelation and reflection. Ben is a brilliant teacher who teaches and leads with an open mind which in turn results in expanding the mind of the student. Thank you and am very much looking forward to Reki 2." - T. Saunders, 2017

Céline Descombe - Reiki Master Teacher
Head of our Plymouth branch of the Devon School of Reiki, Céline offers Reiki sessions and teaching at our clinic in Stoke, Plymouth. Celine is also a valued member of our Reiki Rascals team.
Céline says: 'Discovering Reiki has profoundly touched me. Its practice brings serenity, fulfilment and clarity to my daily life. Having completed all my training at the Devon School of Reiki, I am now a Reiki Master Teacher.
'I recently returned from a 10 month trip around Japan, where I followed in the footsteps of Mikao Usui, the founder of Japanese Reiki. Many of the people I met there were very keen to experience Reiki and I realised the profound impact that it can have on people’s lives. I decided that I want to devote myself to helping people using Reiki.
My career has mainly been in social relations. I volunteered as a carer and note-taker with disabled students at University and following that I have been an English and French teacher for 6 years. I feel that these experiences have enabled me to bring focus, patience and good listening skills to my Reiki practice.
I'm passionate about communication and languages. Having lived in Spanish-speaking countries (Peru and Spain) for 2 years, I am fluent in Spanish and can offer personalised Reiki sessions in English, French and Spanish.
I also love working with children. I’ve been teaching, tutoring and supervising young learners ranging from one year-old to teenagers for over 7 years now, providing a safe learning environment. I’ve personally designed engaging and fun lessons and delivered them in primary schools, after-school clubs and one-to-one home tutoring sessions. I have also worked as the course director and teacher on residential courses, taking personal responsibility for the safety and welfare of the children. I'm delighted to be part of the Reiki Rascals team.
In my free time I practice Yoga, which goes hand in hand with Reiki as it offers me grounding, balance and allows me to develop my creative thinking.'

Julie Whitmore - Reiki Master Practitioner
Heading up the North Devon branch of the Devon School of Reiki, Julie offers Reiki sessions in South Molton at The Rose & Crown Clinic and now also in Braunton. Julie holds regular Reiki Shares in North Devon.
Julie says: 'I started my Reiki journey when I received my first attunement in 2015 with the Devon School of Reiki. This was the turning point in my life. I took Reiki II the following year to begin as a Practitioner. Since then, my journey has become something both enlightening and purposeful.
My background is in banking, which I chose to leave in 2002. I wanted to focus more on helping people feel good about themselves - that's when I trained to become a Beauty/Massage Therapist. I have been doing this for 13 years now, and enjoy my work immensely.
Becoming part of the Devon School of Reiki team is a dream come true for me. I am now a Reiki Master Teacher. I feel that Reiki enables me to fulfil my heart and soul's passion for helping people.
I live in the rural countryside where I can appreciate nature and walk my dog Duke, something I love to do.'

Hannah Blunt – Creative Director
Director of marketing and communications at Devon School of Reiki.
Hannah says: ‘I’ve been using Reiki since pregnancy, through sessions with Sam at Devon School of Reiki in Exeter. I’ve experienced the benefits of this amazing vibrant healing energy both for myself and with my son, now 4. Since then, I’ve undertaken Reiki I, II and Masters training with the School and found it to be a life-altering experience. It was after Reiki I that I had the clarity to find and follow a passion of mine – working with flowers. I retrained and since then I’ve run floral workshops to enable others to connect with their creativity and to share and appreciate the beauty of nature. I now run my own floral design studio in Exeter.
Before this, I studied languages and worked in advertising. I've always enjoyed being in a creative environment, and exploring new ideas, and I also love study and learning. Next, I'd like to expand my interest and knowledge in healing using Aromatherapy and Flower Essences. The rest of the time, I enjoy walks in the woods with my son, interiors, art, and meditation.'
