We would also like to recommend:
- That although it is not mandatory to now wear a Type II facemask (a medical-grade 3 ply face mask), we advise Practitioners to continue to do so, especially as social distancing cannot be maintained when giving treatments. We would also ask you to encourage your clients to wear a face covering when receiving treatments.
- We continue to advise you to leave 30 minutes between clients so that you have enough time to disinfect between clients and so that different clients do not come into contact with each other.
- That treatment times be kept to a minimum and should not exceed one hour for clients who fall into medium or high-risk categories, irrespective of their vaccination status.
- Please pay particular attention to the guidance on ventilation. See section 3 https://www.gov.uk/guidance/working-safely-during-covid-19/shops-branches-and-close-contact-service

Here is a link to the latest UK Reiki Federation guidelines, which (whether a member or not) is a comprehensive resource for what needs to be considered: https://www.reikifed.co.uk/2020/05/27/covid-19-returning-to-work/
Essentially, it is important to contact your own Insurers to find out what is needed to be put in place to ensure you have your full cover. Risk Assessments may well be asked for to ensure you adhere to the new policy requirements. So it is in your best interests to be as fully informed and aware as possible.
Some further guidance and suggested templates are listed below. These have been collated from various regulatory and government boards and may need adjusting according to your modality of work.
